MAN Lion's Coach top version – the „Supreme“

Further enhancements for the successful MAN coach with fascinating extras in design and fittings
There's a new addition to the MAN Lion’s Family. Alongside the new six-wheeler Lion's Coach C presented at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2006 with even more space and travelling pleasure without worrying about the weight, NEOMAN Bus GmbH has for model year 2007 announced a new trim line for the successful coach: the Lion’s Coach Supreme is to be seen as an exceptionally high-value version of the best-seller. Beside many high-quality design features there are also major differences in the technical equipment as regards both the series fittings and the options. It will be available initially as a 12 m two-axle coach and a 13.80 m three-axle unit. Later the new C variant will follow, the special feature of which will be 4-star seating for 52 passengers.

Since production of the MAN Lion's Coach started in 2002 over 1500 units of the two models – the Lion's Coach (two axles) and Lion's Coach L (three axles) – have been sold. In Germany too this coach is in high demand because of its great reliability and good price/performance ratio. Since 2003 about a quarter of deliveries have gone to Germany.

The great success of the base range and the phase-out of the premium MAN Lion's Star model, which was finished in Germany, have caused NEOMAN to configure a high-value variant of the MAN Lion's Coach that is sure to quickly find friends among operators and passengers alike.

Among the distinctive features of the new MAN Lion's Coach Supreme are some stylistic elements which have for many years now characterised the positive image of MAN coahces. The first striking point is the sickle-shaped anodised aluminium curve in the C-post, which visually separates the driver's area from the passenger compartment and exudes particular elegance. This is reflected also in the stylised radiator grille with its traditional MAN design, which dominates the front panel and even from a fair distance identifies the vehicle as the most up-market representative of its range. The cladding of the conventional air-conditioner with cold output of 30 kW too (this has now been moved forward to achieve a better weight distribution) sets the Supreme apart from the already familiar Lion's Coach. At the rear the design is rounded off by the prominent spoiler, which ensures good Cw values and a clean rear window with its Büssing lion logo. The fairings for the drive wheels are not only chic but also reduce spray; they can be found in different forms in both the two- and three-axle versions.
